Walton-on-the-Naze railway station serves the town of Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex, England. The station is the terminus of the single line branch which leaves the Clacton line at Thorpe-le-Soken.
Only what was the down platform remains in use following the electrification of the line. There was a small locomotive shed at the station, but this was later converted into a coach park.
The station was renamed from Walton-on-Naze to Walton-on-the-Naze, reflecting the name of the town it serves, on Tuesday 8 May 2007 when new signage was launched by local musicians, The Onion Band.

Famous quotes containing the words railway and/or station:
“Her personality had an architectonic quality; I think of her when I see some of the great London railway termini, especially St. Pancras, with its soot and turrets, and she overshadowed her own daughters, whom she did not understandmy mother, who liked things to be nice; my dotty aunt. But my mother had not the strength to put even some physical distance between them, let alone keep the old monster at emotional arms length.”
—Angela Carter (19401992)
“To act the part of a true friend requires more conscientious feeling than to fill with credit and complacency any other station or capacity in social life.”
—Sarah Ellis (18121872)
