Famous quotes containing the words walter and/or olson:

All histories do shew, and wise politicians do hold it necessary that, for the well-governing of every Commonweal, it behoveth man to presuppose that all men are evil, and will declare themselves so to be when occasion is offered.
    —Sir Walter Raleigh (1552–1618)

But that which matters, that which insists, that which will last,
that! o my people, where shall you find it, how, where, where shall
    you listen
when all is become billboards, when, all, even silence, is
    spray-gunned?
    —Charles Olson (1910–1970)
