Vortex (Kings Island) - Ride Experience

Ride Experience

Out of the station, the ride drops slightly and takes a hard right to the beginning of the lift hill. The slow ride to the top gives the guest a chance to look at the park and at the rest of the Vortex's structure on the right, and on the left the riders can catch a glimpse of the The Beast. Once the train reaches the peek, the train drops slightly to another sharp right hand turn into a 55 degree nosedive 138 ft down. The train then ascends into a left hand high banking turn, the track then flattens out as the rider prepares for the double vertical loop. The train then ascends into a high right turn fattening out and hitting the brakes just before descending into a double flying corkscrew. After the flying corkscrew the train makes a slight right hand turn and continues into a dive loop then passing by the on-ride camera then exiting in a immelmann loop (this maneuver can also be called the batwing). The final maneuver would be the a positive g-filled 450 degree upwards helix, then hitting the breaks to halt. Then another right hand turn into the station.

Famous quotes containing the words ride and/or experience:

Don’t worry about a sugar planter. Give him a horse and he’ll ride to his own funeral.
    Curtis Siodmak (1902–1988)

I am ashamed to see what a shallow village tale our so-called History is. How many times must we say Rome, and Paris, and Constantinople! What does Rome know of rat and lizard? What are Olympiads and Consulates to these neighboring systems of being? Nay, what food or experience or succor have they for the Esquimaux seal-hunter, or the Kanaka in his canoe, for the fisherman, the stevedore, the porter?
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
