Brother
Like all Yeerks, Visser Three has many brothers and sisters. He is one of the rare few to have a twin, a brother named Esplin 9466 Lesser. The double six indicates they are twins. Since Visser Three is the dominant one, however, his twin gets a low-ranking host, Joe Bob Fenestre. However, Esplin 9466 Lesser uses his Yeerk knowledge to create Web Access America (a parody of America Online) and becomes a multi-billionaire. Enraged, Visser Three cuts off his twin's access to Kandrona rays. However, Esplin 9466 Lesser discovers a way to survive without Kandrona rays; he becomes a cannibal, consuming a fellow Yeerk every three days. Esplin 9466 Lesser is the centerpiece of #16 The Warning and makes a minor appearance in The Hork-Bajir Chronicles.

Famous quotes containing the word brother:
“I need not say what match I would touch, what system endeavor to blow up; but as I love my life, I would side with the light, and let the dark earth roll from under me, calling my mother and my brother to follow.”
—Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
“Your brother and my sister no sooner met but they looked;
no sooner looked but they loved; no sooner loved but they
sighed; no sooner sighed but they asked one another the
reason; no sooner knew the reason but they sought the
remedy.”
—William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
“It’s perversion. Don’t you see what it is? It’s not natural. To go to great expense for something you want, that’s natural. To reach out to take it, that’s human, that’s natural. But to get your pleasure from not taking, from cheating yourself deliberately like my brother did today, from not getting, from not taking. Don’t you see what a black thing that is for a man to do? How it is to hate yourself?”
—Abraham Polonsky (b. 1910)
