Villanova basketball athletes traditionally remain enrolled four years, graduate, and go on to enjoy post-college success. Villanova has never had to fire a head basketball coach (men's or women's) for any reason. Villanova has won more NCAA tournament games as a lower seed than any school. ;l,;l,;l;l,;,;l Villanova won what has been called the greatest college basketball game ever played, defeating Georgetown 66-64 on April 1, 1985 to win the NCAA National Championship.
