Modern styles, or môn (schools), include:
- Võ thuật Bình Định - umbrella title for all the traditional styles of Bình Định.
- Viet Tai Chi - similar to Chinese Tai Chi
- Vovinam of võ sư Nguyễn Lộc. Also called Việt Võ Đạo (Việt = Vietnamese, Võ = martial, Đạo = way)
- Võ Việt Nam (Cuton) or Võ Đạo of Phạm Văn Tan.
Associations in Vietnam include vi:Liên đoàn võ thuật cổ truyền Việt Nam and vi:Tổng hội Võ học Việt Nam.
Overseas
- Cuong Nhu of Ngô Đồng (d. Florida 2000), known also by the Japanese title O Sensei
