Future of VacTrAK
While records for all children of Alaska are automatically permitted inclusion in the registry (unless the parents or guardians specifically opt-out), enrollment in VacTrAK is currently voluntary on behalf of the health care providers. By 2010, however, all providers will be required to enroll in and provide accurate information to VacTrAK as a prerequisite to receiving vaccines free of charge through the Vaccines for Children.
