Future
In 2013, Highway 63 will be rerouted to avoid downtown Rochester. It will follow Olmsted County Road 14 to Highway 52. Highway 63 will be concurrent with Highway 52 through western Rochester, until the S Broadway exit on the southern side of the city.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation also has plans to turn Highway 63 into an controlled-access freeway between U.S. 52 and Interstate 90.
