Unknown Mystery 60's Group
"Unknown Mystery 60's Group" is the name given to an unknown group of musicians from the 1960s whose music has been released in CD format starting in 1997. Volume I was released in 1997 by Distortions Records. According to Distortions Records the songs on the CD were found on a reel to reel tape at an outdoor flea market in Philadelphia. Nothing was known about the group except for the song titles which were written on the tape box. The two photos on the CD were inside the tape box as well. The second release, Volume II was released by the now defunct Octopus Recordings in 2001. The third CD, Volume III - Love Songs, has been released by Birdhouse Records in 2007. The additional tapes for volume II and III were made available by the band archivist in Spain.

persons, to make modern and familiar, things supernatural

ensconcing ourselves into seeming knowledge, when we should
submit ourselves to an unknown fear.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“Mystery is in the morning, and mystery in the night, and the beauty of mystery is everywhere; but still the plain truth remains, that mouth and purse must be filled.”
—Herman Melville (18191891)
“around our group I could hear the wilderness listen.”
—William Stafford (19141941)
