Unknown Mystery 60's Group

Volume I was released in 1997 by Distortions Records. According to Distortions Records the songs on the CD were found on a reel to reel tape at an outdoor flea market in Philadelphia. Nothing was known about the group except for the song titles which were written on the tape box. The two photos on the CD were inside the tape box as well. The second release, Volume II was released by the now defunct Octopus Recordings in 2001. The third CD, Volume III - Love Songs, has been released by Birdhouse Records in 2007. The additional tapes for volume II and III were made available by the band archivist in Spain.

Famous quotes containing the words unknown, mystery and/or group:

Out of the earth to rest or range
    Perpetual in perpetual change,
The unknown passing through the strange.
    John Masefield (1878–1967)

All my life I’ve been harassed by questions: Why is something this way and not another? How do you account for that? This rage to understand, to fill in the blanks, only makes life more banal. If we could only find the courage to leave our destiny to chance, to accept the fundamental mystery of our lives, then we might be closer to the sort of happiness that comes with innocence.
    Luis Buñuel (1900–1983)

If the Russians have gone too far in subjecting the child and his peer group to conformity to a single set of values imposed by the adult society, perhaps we have reached the point of diminishing returns in allowing excessive autonomy and in failing to utilize the constructive potential of the peer group in developing social responsibility and consideration for others.
    Urie Bronfenbrenner (b. 1917)
