University of Medical Sciences
The medical-sciences section of the university was separated from the university according to the parliament low statute — which was ratified in 1985 — and became known as the Tabriz University of Medical Sciences (TUMS). Following the separation, TUMS started its own educational research and remedial activities independently. Similar to other medical universities in other parts of Iran, TUMS also merged with local provincial health and treatment organizations and since then, TUMS has been actively involved not only in academics but also in health and treatment tasks.

“The well-educated young woman of 1950 will blend art and sciences in a way we do not dream of; the science will steady the art and the art will give charm to the science.
