UOL has always been a research active university but the focus on research has strengthened as it has expanded. The University of Lahore also plays strong emphasis on research as evident by the research grants available to various departments within the University and its investments into dedicated research projects and facilities such as CRIMM (Center for Research in Molecular Medicine) specializing in Cancer research. It continues to be at the forefront of research and continually strives to produce excellent graduates in areas of Sciences, Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Language and Literature, Information Technology and through its Business School (Lahore Business School).
