Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences
The faculty (BioTech UPM) was established in 2004 with the merger of two departments, the Department of Biotechnology (from the Faculty of Food Science and Biotechnology) and the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology (from the Faculty of Science and Environmental Studies). With the formation of BioTech UPM, all activities involving biotechnology in UPM are organised under one administration. Since its formation, the faculty has four departments:
- Department of Bioprocess Technology
- Department of Cell and Molecular Biology
- Department of Biochemistry
- Department of Microbiology
