Famous quotes containing the words prize, peace and/or education:

In the corrupted currents of this world
Offence’s gilded hand may shove by justice,
And oft ‘tis seen the wicked prize itself
Buys out the law; but ‘tis not so above:
    There is no shuffling.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    Beasts in their major freedom
    Slumber in peace tonight.
    Richard Wilbur (b. 1921)

It is because the body is a machine that education is possible. Education is the formation of habits, a superinducing of an artificial organisation upon the natural organisation of the body.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–1895)
