Uncle Fester - Musical

Musical

In the musical, Uncle Fester, who has been played by Brad Oscar and Kevin Chamberlin is, as aforementioned, shy around people he likes; in this case, he's in love with the moon. Fester serves as the narrator, and interacts more with the audience than with the rest of the family. The subject of love is apparently his "specialty," and he is able to play the banjo, shown when he sings a love song to the moon.

Famous quotes containing the word musical:

I was with Hercules and Cadmus once,
When in a wood of Crete they bayed the bear
With hounds of Sparta: never did I hear
Such gallant chiding; for besides the groves,
The skies, the fountains, every region near
Seemed all one mutual cry. I never heard
So musical a discord, such sweet thunder.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

Sometimes a musical phrase would perfectly sum up
The mood of a moment. One of those lovelorn sonatas
For wind instruments was riding past on a solemn white horse.
Everybody wondered who the new arrival was.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)

Fifty million Frenchmen can’t be wrong.
    —Anonymous. Popular saying.

Dating from World War I—when it was used by U.S. soldiers—or before, the saying was associated with nightclub hostess Texas Quinan in the 1920s. It was the title of a song recorded by Sophie Tucker in 1927, and of a Cole Porter musical in 1929.
