Uncensored From Texas Death Row

Uncensored from Texas Death Row is a series of articles originally started by Paul Colella that gives readers an impression of life on Death Row in Texas through the eyes of the inmates.

Richard Cartwright took over when Colella was released from Death Row on August 12, 2003, after having had his sentenced reduced to 20 years imprisonment. After Cartwright's execution on May 19, 2005, Clinton Lee Young took over.

One notable contributor is Hank Skinner, the human rights activist convicted of the murder of his girlfriend Twila Busby and her children in 1993. As of May 2010, Skinner is still on Death Row. His case is still pending review.

Many of Richard Cartwright's "Uncensored" articles can be found, curiously enough, at a Pro Death Penalty website where it is apparent many people thought fondly of Richard.

I’m beginning to believe that Killer Illiteracy ought to rank near heart disease and cancer as one of the leading causes of death among Americans. Ishmael Reed (b. 1938)

You have a row of dominoes set up; you knock over the first one, and what will happen to the last one is that it will go over very quickly.
