Ulukhaktok

Ulukhaktok (traditional spelling Ulukhaqtuuq and known until 1 April 2006 as Holman) is a small hamlet on the west coast of Victoria Island, in the Inuvik Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada. The 2006 census indicated a population of 398 of which 360 (90.0%) were Inuvialuit or Inuit along with 7.5% non-Aboriginal and 2.5% North American Indian. In 2009 the Government of the Northwest Territories reported that the population was 451 with an average yearly growth rate of 0.1 from 1996.
