Recognition
The website has garnered acclaim outside of the conventional Disney and animation internet communities. Film critic and historian Leonard Maltin recommends the site in the "Links" page of his personal website. During Roy E. Disney and Stanley Gold's Save Disney campaign, Ultimate Disney's articles were frequently featured on SaveDisney.com. Additionally, an official Disney book, Disney Dossiers: Files of Characters From the Walt Disney Studios (published in October 2006) notes that Maleficent was named the #1 Disney Villain by UltimateDisney.com in its Top Disney Villains Countdown.
In addition, the site is well-known among the internet community of DVD news and reviews, as other notable sites such as TheDigitalBits.com and TVShowsonDVD.com have cited Ultimate Disney on several news items regarding DVD releases.

Famous quotes containing the word recognition:
“While you are nurturing your newborn, you need someone to nurture you, whether it is with healthful drinks while you’re nursing, or with words of recognition and encouragement as you talk about your feelings. In this state of continual giving to your infant—whether it is nourishment or care or love—you are easily drained, and you need to be replenished from sources outside yourself so that you will have reserves to draw from.”
—Sally Placksin (20th century)
“Art is the imposing of a pattern on experience, and our aesthetic enjoyment is recognition of the pattern.”
—Alfred North Whitehead (1861–1947)
“Tragedy, as you know, is always a fait accompli, whereas terror always has to do with anticipation, with man’s recognition of his own negative potential—with his sense of what he is capable of.”
—Joseph Brodsky (b. 1940)
