Ucluelet ( /juːˈkluːlɨt/) is a district municipality (population about 1,627) on the west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Ucluelet means "people of the safe harbour" in the indigenous Nuu-chah-nulth (Nootka) language.
