Triple Sec

Triple sec, originally Curaçao triple sec, is a variety of Curaçao liqueur, an orange-flavoured liqueur made from the dried peels of bitter and sweet orange.

Triple sec may be consumed neat as a digestif or on the rocks, but nowadays is mostly used in making cocktails such as the Margarita, White Lady, Long Island Iced Tea, and Cosmopolitan.

Famous quotes containing the word triple:

Their martyred blood and ashes sow
O’er all the Italian fields where still doth sway
The triple tyrant; that from these may grow
A hundredfold, who, having learnt thy way,
Early may fly the Babylonian woe.
    John Milton (1608–1674)
