Fate
As part of the Kingdom of Israel, the territory of Issachar was conquered by the Assyrians, and the tribe exiled; the manner of their exile lead to their further history being lost. There might be slight evidence that some Bukharian Jews could be descendants of this tribe because only these Jews carry 'Issachar' as a surname and these Jews have evidence of artifacts and scripts that shows how the Israelites were once there thousands of years ago.

Famous quotes containing the word fate:
“Then die that she
The common fate of all things rare
May read in thee;”
—Edmund Waller (16061687)
“Good-by, my book! Like mortal eyes, imagined ones must close some day. Onegin from his knees will risebut his creator strolls away. And yet the ear cannot right now part with the music and allow the tale to fade; the chords of fate itself continue to vibrate; and no obstruction for the sage exists where I have put The End: the shadows of my world extend beyond the skyline of the page, blue as tomorrows morning hazenor does this terminate the phrase.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
“However diligent she may be, however dedicated, no mother can escape the larger influences of culture, biology, fate . . . until we can actually live in a society where mothers and children genuinely matter, ours is an essentially powerless responsibility. Mothers carry out most of the work orders, but most of the rules governing our lives are shaped by outside influences.”
—Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)
