Travis Childers
Travis Wayne Childers (born March 29, 1958) is an American politician who was the U.S. Representative for Mississippi's 1st congressional district from 2008 to 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The district includes much of the northern portion of the state including New Albany, Columbus, Oxford, Southaven, and Tupelo. First elected in a 2008 special election, Childers was defeated for re-election in 2010.
