Tony Bruno - Personal Life

Personal Life

When Bruno was 10 years old his father died from leukemia. Today Bruno regularly visits his mother, Angelina Bruno, an Italian immigrant who came to this country when she was 18, who makes, Tony claims, the "best meatballs ever." He re-shingled her roof in the summer of 2007. In April 2013, Tony replaced the gate of his mother's backyard fence in a single weekend.

Bruno is divorced with three grown children and lived in Venice, California, but has moved back to Philadelphia, PA as of September 2011. He attended Temple University in Philadelphia, majoring in political science and journalism.

On November 9, 2012 Bruno promised to donate $10,000 to Temple University and attend every home game for both Mens and Womens basketball.

Famous quotes containing the words personal life, personal and/or life:

A man lives not only his personal life, as an individual, but also, consciously or unconsciously, the life of his epoch and his contemporaries.
    Thomas Mann (1875–1955)

The secret point of money and power in America is neither the things that money can buy nor power for power’s sake ... but absolute personal freedom, mobility, privacy. It is the instinct which drove America to the Pacific, all through the nineteenth century, the desire to be able to find a restaurant open in case you want a sandwich, to be a free agent, live by one’s own rules.
    Joan Didion (b. 1934)

There is a place where we are always alone with our own mortality, where we must simply have something greater than ourselves to hold onto—God or history or politics or literature or a belief in the healing power of love, or even righteous anger.... A reason to believe, a way to take the world by the throat and insist that there is more to this life than we have ever imagined.
    Dorothy Allison (b. 1949)
