Early Life
Zeile was born in Van Nuys, California. In 1986, he led the Class A Erie Cardinals with 14 home runs, a league-leading 62 RBIs, and was tied for the team lead with 13 doubles. He was selected by the Cardinals in the second round of that June's draft.
