The Saturdays

The Saturdays are an English-Irish girl group based and formed in London, United Kingdom. The group consists of members Frankie Sandford, Mollie King, Una Healy, Vanessa White and Rochelle Humes. The band was formed through Fascination Records which gave the band an instant record deal with the label as well as a sub-division of Polydor Records. As soon as the contract was finalised, the band went on tour with Girls Aloud during their Tangled Up Tour. The group's music style is pop, however throughout their career they have experimented with contemporary R&B, dance-pop and electropop. In order to create this music, Ina Wroldsen, Steve Mac and Quiz & Larossi have been heavily involved.

"If This Is Love" was released as the bands debut single, which resulted in the band achieving their first top ten hit. The band released their debut album, Chasing Lights in 2008 and charted at number-nine on the UK Albums Chart, It was accredited platinum certification by the British Phonographic Industry and the album also produced three more top ten singles—"Up", "Issues" and "Just Can't Get Enough". "Work" was also released from the album. The bands first Concert tour, The Work Tour took place in 2009. Wordshaker was released as the second studio album and proudced top 10 hits—"Forever Is Over" and "Ego". After the release of "Ego", the band decided to release their first Mini album in 2010, Headlines! which also produced top 10 hits—"Missing You" and "Higher" which featured guest vocals from Flo Rida. The Headlines Tour was the bands second concert tour. On Your Radar was the third studio album released in 2011, which also seen the release of top 10 singles—"Notorious" and "All Fired Up". The album also saw the release of "My Heart Takes Over". In December 2011 the band took to their first arena tour, All Fired Up! Live. "30 Days" which charted at number-seven on the UK Singles Chart and serves as the first single from the bands fourth studio album. "What About Us" was released as the follow-up single from the album and became the bands first number-one single on the UK Singles Chart, selling 114,000 copies in the first week of release.

In 2010, the band released their first autobiography, The Saturdays: Our Story and their own TV series on ITV2, The Saturdays: 24/7. As well as having a cameo in British soap, Hollyoaks and taking part in paranormal television show, Ghosthunting With.... The band are involved with charities, including releasing "Just Can't Get Enough" for Comic Relief in 2009. They have also been involved in Sport Relief. They support Elton John's Elton John AIDS Foundation. They have also recorded a number of Television advertisement in order to promote a product, which includes: Veet, Nintendogs + Cats and more. In 2011, they also launched their own Nail polish line, which is sold exclusively in Superdrug. It was announced that the band would feature in their own reality television show for the second time, Chasing The Saturdays, on E!. The show would feature the band trying to crack the American Music Industry. The band went onto release an Extended play in America, Chasing The Saturdays.
