International Career

His career in the national team, he started in the U-16 and U-17 Thailand national football team in 2004. He was part of the squad that took part in the final of the U-17 Asian Football Championship 2004. Two years later, he also managed to belong to the U-19 squad that participated in the Asian Championships. In the U-19 championships, he scored the 1-0 against the selection of the United Arab Emirates. The game ended 2-1 to Thailand and it was the only victory of the tournament for the elf. Since 2007 Teerasil plays for both the U-23 and for the men's team in the country. He was part of the 2007 Olympic team that tried to qualify for the Olympic Games in 2008. In December 2007 he won the U-23 gold medal at the Southeast Asian Games. In the same year he had his first appointment in the men's team squads. He was part of the squad at the finals of Asian Cup 2007. He had therefore taken within three years in three different age classes to the finals AFC Asian Cup. 8 October 2007, he met the first time for the Thailand national football team of men. His next big tournament were the ASEAN Football Championships 2008. There he was able to reach the final with Thailand. During the tournament he scored four goals. One of which he succeeded in the final of the tournament against Vietnam. In the second leg of the final, he scored the 1-0 for Thailand. This result would have brought Thailand into overtime, but managed to Vietnam shortly before the end of the balance. Thus Teerasil was his first title with the men failed.

Teerasil has been an ever present in the international fold since October 2007, in a World Cup Qualifying match against Macau. He was a member of the victorious squad of 2008 T&T Cup at Vietnam.

Recently in Asia's 2014 World Cup Qualifying section, under the management of a newly appointed German coach, Winfried Schafer, Teerasil has been featuring in the team constantly so far, he also scored against Australia and Oman respectively.
