In January 2011, TRN began rolling-out an all news network service for stations, called America's Radio News Network (or ARNN). ARNN began with a three-hour news block airing from 12 noon to 3 pm (Eastern Time) and has since added blocks broadcast from 3 pm to 6 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm, five days a week. ARNN calls these news blocks "long-form" coverage, similar in format to NPR's morning and afternoon news magazines. ARNN says the format is designed to be flexible to all stations to take the entire package or include local news segments within each news block. ARNN is a non-partisan radio network.

Famous quotes containing the words america, radio, news and/or network:
“Without comprehension, the immigrant would forever remain shuta stranger in America. Until America can release the heart as well as train the hand of the immigrant, he would forever remain driven back upon himself, corroded by the very richness of the unused gifts within his soul.”
—Anzia Yezierska (1881?1970)
“We spend all day broadcasting on the radio and TV telling people back home whats happening here. And we learn whats happening here by spending all day monitoring the radio and TV broadcasts from back home.”
—P.J. (Patrick Jake)
“It is not the purpose of literature to purvey news. For news consult the Almanac de Gotha.”
—Herman Melville (18191891)
“A culture may be conceived as a network of beliefs and purposes in which any string in the net pulls and is pulled by the others, thus perpetually changing the configuration of the whole. If the cultural element called morals takes on a new shape, we must ask what other strings have pulled it out of line. It cannot be one solitary string, nor even the strings nearby, for the network is three-dimensional at least.”
—Jacques Barzun (b. 1907)
