Swing Time Records was a United States based record label, active in the 1940s. The label was founded by Jack Lauderdale in 1947 and was headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Swing Time went bankrupt in 1953.
Down Beat Records is believed to have been a subsidiary label as the same "orchestra conductor" logo depicted on the Swing Time label was also used. Percy Mayfield and Ray Charles and other early rhythm and blues and swing era artists of the 1940s first recorded for this company.
