Sunless Saturday

"Sunless Saturday" is a song by the Alternative rock band Fishbone from their 1991 album The Reality of My Surroundings. It remains, to this day, the band's highest charting single.

One month before the release of the Reality of My Surroundings album, Fishbone played a memorable performance on Saturday Night Live, with frontman Angelo Moore doing a back flip into the camera pit a mere five seconds into their performance of "Sunless Saturday".

The music video for the song was directed by Spike Lee.

Famous quotes containing the words sunless and/or saturday:

Through our sunless lanes creeps Poverty with her hungry eyes, and Sin with his sodden face follows close behind her. Misery wakes us in the morning and Shame sits with us at night.
    Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)

The return of the asymmetrical Saturday was one of those small events that were interior, local, almost civic and which, in tranquil lives and closed societies, create a sort of national bond and become the favorite theme of conversation, of jokes and of stories exaggerated with pleasure: it would have been a ready- made seed for a legendary cycle, had any of us leanings toward the epic.
    Marcel Proust (1871–1922)
