Sheriffdoms
Sheriffdoms are judicial areas. Since 1 January 1975 these have been six in number:
- Glasgow and Strathkelvin
- Grampian, Highland and Islands
- Lothian and Borders
- North Strathclyde
- South Strathclyde, Dumfries and Galloway
- Tayside, Central and Fife
