Sixth Form Education
Students are able to continue their education beyond the age of sixteen in the school's co-educational Sixth Form operated jointly with Marling School. The two schools also share a number of facilities on their adjoining sites. The joint Sixth Form block has recently been extended to double the size of the accommodation and to include a new one hundred and sixty seat Lecture Theatre. Students from other educational establishments are also allowed to join the Sixth Form, provided they satisfy the joint-schools' entry criteria.

Famous quotes containing the words sixth, form and/or education:
“The elephant, not only the largest but the most intelligent of animals, provides us with an excellent example. It is faithful and tenderly loving to the female of its choice, mating only every third year and then for no more than five days, and so secretly as never to be seen, until, on the sixth day, it appears and goes at once to wash its whole body in the river, unwilling to return to the herd until thus purified. Such good and modest habits are an example to husband and wife.”
—St. Francis De Sales (15671622)
“Weve only just begun to learn about the water and its secrets, just as weve only touched on outer space. We dont entirely rule out the possibility that there might be some form of life on another planet. Then why not some entirely different form of life in a world we already know is inhabited by millions of living creatures?”
—Harry Essex (b. 1910)
“There must be a profound recognition that parents are the first teachers and that education begins before formal schooling and is deeply rooted in the values, traditions, and norms of family and culture.”
—Sara Lawrence Lightfoot (20th century)
