Strictly Personal is the second album by Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band. It was originally released in October 1968, almost a year after the band had initially taken to the studio to record the follow-up to 1967's Safe as Milk. The finished album has been the subject of controversy owing to producer Bob Krasnow's addition of phasing to many of the tracks, which Beefheart initially supported, but subsequently claimed was done without his knowledge or approval.

Famous quotes containing the words strictly and/or personal:
“Yesterday the Electoral Commission decided not to go behind the papers filed with the Vice-President in the case of Florida.... I read the arguments in the Congressional Record and cant see how lawyers can differ on the question. But the decision is by a strictly party voteeight Republicans against seven Democrats! It shows the strength of party ties.”
—Rutherford Birchard Hayes (18221893)
“In contrast with envy, which usually occurs between two people and is focused upon another persons qualities or possessions, jealousy occurs when a third person becomes a threat to a dyad. Jealousy involves the loss or the impending loss of a relationship that one wants to hold onto, a relationship that is vital to personal fulfillment and claimed as ones own.”
—Carol S. Becker (b. 1942)
