Strange Magic: The Best of Electric Light Orchestra is a compilation album by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), released in 1995 only in the US.
The compilation favours album versions rather than single versions; tracks such as "Rock 'n' Roll Is King", "Shine a Little Love" and "Boy Blue" are longer. The compilation is sequenced chronologically and is based around US singles, with exception of the European hit "Rockaria!" on disc one.

Famous quotes containing the words strange, electric, light and/or orchestra:
“The shades of night were falling fast,
As through an Alpine village passed
A youth, who bore, mid snow and ice,
A banner with the strange device,
Excelsior!”
—Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (18091882)
“Wisdom is like electricity. There is no permanently wise man, but men capable of wisdom, who, being put into certain company, or other favorable conditions, become wise for a short time, as glasses rubbed acquire electric power for a while.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“The night has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet the light of the bright world dies
With the dying sun.”
—Francis William Bourdillon (18521921)
“As the artist
extends his world with
one gratuitous flourisha stroke of white or
a run on the clarinet above the
bass tones of the orchestra ...”
—Denise Levertov (b. 1923)
