They faced many other teams that still exist today, defeating the New York Giants twice and the Chicago Cardinals once. During the 1932 NFL season (the Stapeltons last in the NFL), the team played to a scoreless tie with the eventual NFL champion Chicago Bears. Football Hall of Famer Ken Strong played for the Stapes.
