History
It was launched on 1 May 1994. At that time, it screened both Hollywood and Chinese movies and catered to a pan-Asian audience split into two stations: STAR Movies (was formerly known as STAR Movies International, now is currently known as Fox Movies Premium) – is an English movie channel and STAR Chinese Movies (formerly known as STAR Mandarin Movies).
On May 19, 2012, STAR Chinese Movies Hong Kong was officially re-branded. The channel logo was also changed from a star, to a crown. The crown features three points, which represent the channel's aims of offering the best premium programmes, the best screening service and the largest Chinese movie inventory.
