Solar Puffing

Solar puffing or Solar toking are some names given to the act of using a magnifying lens to heat cannabis for consumption. Many practitioners of this method believe that by using heat from sunlight, instead of heat from a lighter, that the cannabis is consumed in a more 'natural' way, since the sunlight is the only heat source which also comes directly from nature. Utilization of this method also provides the practitioner the ability to consume a greater amount of THC within a given amount of cannabis because more THC is preserved for inhalation due to a lower heating temperature as opposed to that of combustion. This method is similar to that of vaporization. Solar puffing is also called: solar toking and taking solar hits.

Famous quotes containing the words solar and/or puffing:

Senta: These boats, sir, what are they for?
Hamar: They are solar boats for Pharaoh to use after his death. They’re the means by which Pharaoh will journey across the skies with the sun, with the god Horus. Each day they will sail from east to west, and each night Pharaoh will return to the east by the river which runs underneath the earth.
    William Faulkner (1897–1962)

Again we mistook a little rocky islet seen through the “drisk,” with some taller bare trunks or stumps on it, for the steamer with its smoke-pipes, but as it had not changed its position after half an hour, we were undeceived. So much do the works of man resemble the works of nature. A moose might mistake a steamer for a floating isle, and not be scared till he heard its puffing or its whistle.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
