Risk factors for small intestine cancer include:

  • Crohn's disease
  • Celiac disease
  • Radiation exposure
  • Hereditary gastrointestinal cancer syndromes: familial adenomatous polyposis, hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer, Peutz-Jeghers syndrome
  • Males are 25% more likely to develop the disease
