“If men will believe it, sua si bona norint, there are no more quiet Tempes, nor more poetic and Arcadian lives, than may be lived in these New England dwellings. —Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“The technological landscape of the present day has enfranchised its own electoratesthe inhabitants of marketing zones in the consumer goods society, television audiences and news magazine readerships... vote with money at the cash counter rather than with the ballot paper at the polling booth.”
—J.G. (James Graham)
“The inhabitants of Canada appeared to be suffering between two fires, the soldiery and the priesthood.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
