Famous quotes containing the words crow, live, central and/or park:
“I saw a crow by Red Rock
standing on one leg
It was the black of your hair
The years are heavy”
—N. Scott Momaday (b. 1934)
“She is very clever.
She is old, old, old, she must live another year, and she knows it.
While in their fingerjoint cells the new virgins
Dream of a duel they will win inevitably,”
—Sylvia Plath (19321963)
“When life has been well spent, age is a loss of what it can well spare, muscular strength, organic instincts, gross bulk, and works that belong to these. But the central wisdom, which was old in infancy, is young in fourscore years, and dropping off obstructions, leaves in happy subjects the mind purified and wise.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“The park is filled with night and fog,
The veils are drawn about the world,”
—Sara Teasdale (18841933)
