Robotics, Engineering and Technology
Seycove's technology department competes yearly in the Skills Canada Robotics challenge as well as alternative energy challenges and supermileage races. Students design and build a wide variety of projects such as off-road vehicles, solar powered vehicles, and hovercrafts. A number of students from this engineering program have gone on to schools such as University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, University of Victoria, University of Waterloo, McGill University, British Columbia Institute of Technology, and Capilano University's engineering transfer program. Seycove also offers courses in computer programming, woodwork, construction, and drafting and design.

Famous quotes containing the words engineering and/or technology:
“Mining today is an affair of mathematics, of finance, of the latest in engineering skill. Cautious men behind polished desks in San Francisco figure out in advance the amount of metal to a cubic yard, the number of yards washed a day, the cost of each operation. They have no need of grubstakes.”
—Merle Colby, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
“One can prove or refute anything at all with words. Soon people will perfect language technology to such an extent that theyll be proving with mathematical precision that twice two is seven.”
—Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (18601904)
