Schmohz Brewing Company is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jim Schwerin (Owner)MTU Alumni, and Gabi Palmer (Assistant Brewer) MTU Alumni are responsible for brewing the beer made at Schmohz. Schmohz holds a Michigan Microbrewery license. Marketing and publicity related events are handled by Chas. Thompson (Beer Engineer, MBAA) MTU Alumni
Schmohz products are also available in stores, bars and restaurants around Michigan.
Schmohz provides Free WiFi to patrons as well as power outlets under the edge of the bar. Schmohz does not serve food but is outside food friendly and non-smoking.
In 2009 Schmohz added a biergarten so patrons can drink their beer outside in the shade of several large trees. Picnic tables and an honor grill populate the biergarten.
It is a member of Michigan Brewers Guild
Schmohz also hosts the West Michigan Chapter of the Michigan Tech Alumni Association monthly meetings and is an integral part of event staff for the Chapter.
