Famous quotes containing the words saunders and/or lane:
“Art is an absolute mistress; she will not be coquetted with or slighted; she requires the most entire self-devotion, and she repays with grand triumphs.”
—Charlotte Saunders Cushman (18161876)
“Life is a thin narrowness of taken-for-granted, a plank over a canyon in a fog. There is something under our feet, the taken-for-granted. Faith saves our souls alive by giving us a universe of the taken-for-granted.”
—Rose Wilder Lane (18861968)
