Sanatorium Purkersdorf - Hospital

Hospital

The Protestant church acquired the building 1952 and rebuilt it as hospital. A part of the facility was used as nursing home. The old pavilions had to be rebuilt because of dilapidation. The business was discontinued in the year 1975. The buildings and park remained long unused and fell into disrepair.

Famous quotes containing the word hospital:

For millions of men and women, the church has been the hospital for the soul, the school for the mind and the safe depository for moral ideas.
    Gerald R. Ford (b. 1913)

The sun his hand uncloses like a statue,
Irrevocably: thereby such light is freed
That all the dingy hospital of snow
    Dies back to ditches.
