San Pietro Apostolo

San Pietro Apostolo is a comune and town in the province of Catanzaro in the Calabria region of Italy. It is located about 9.5 miles northwest of Catanzaro, the provincial capital.

Perched on a hillside, it occupies 11.51 square kilometers, and had a population of 1,925 inhabitants in 2001. It is surrounded by the villages of Decollatura, Gimigliano, Miglierina, Serrastretta and Tiriolo. The largest nearby town is Nicastro, which has since become part of the larger comune of Lamezia Terme.

The parish church is that of San Pietro. Other churches in S. Pietro are Madonna di Carmelo and Madonna della Lettera.
