Famous quotes containing the words partner and/or universities:

“Plantin’ and readin’, plantin’ and readin’. Fill a man full of lead, stick ‘em in the ground, and then read words on ‘em. Why when ya killed a man, why try to read the Lord in as a partner on the job.”
    —Borden Chase [Frank Fowler] (1900–1971)

“The rush to books and universities is like the rush to the public house. People want to drown their realization of the difficulties of living properly in this grotesque contemporary world, they want to forget their own deplorable inefficiency as artists in life.”
    —Aldous Huxley (1894–1963)
