Early Life

Born Ruth Llewellyn on 16 April 1943 in Norwich, England to parents who travelled around Britain for much of her childhood, she was brought up by her Welsh grandmother and English grandfather in Llansamlet in Swansea.

Later she trained in London at RADA.
