Popularity
The popularity of rugby league in Germany is minimal, and rugby of any form is still very much unknown by Germans. Only 80 adult players and possibly 200 children were introduced to the game in 2008, with these numbers sure to fall in the 2009 season.
The Germans' participation in several tournaments against Eastern Europe opposition has generated little interest within Germany for the game of rugby league.
