Rugby High School For Girls - Uniform

Uniform

The school uniform was changed in September 2011. The previous uniform was, for years 7-9, a pale blue polo shirt with a navy blue sweatshirt and navy blue trousers/skirt, for years 10-11 a white or pale blue shirt with a navy blue V-Neck jumper and navy blue trousers/skirt and for Sixth form, office dress.

The new uniform consists of a navy blue blazer with navy blue trousers/skirt and navy blue V-neck jumper or tank top. Years 7-9 should wear a pale blue shirt and years 10-11 should wear a white shirt with blue stripes.

From September 2013, there will be a new sixth form uniform. Students should wear matching trousers/skirt with a matching jacket in a suit style with any smart shirt of their choice.

Famous quotes containing the word uniform:

An accent mark, perhaps, instead of a whole western accent—a point of punctuation rather than a uniform twang. That is how it should be worn: as a quiet point of character reference, an apt phrase of sartorial allusion—macho, sotto voce.
    Phil Patton (b. 1953)

We call ourselves a free nation, and yet we let ourselves be told what cabs we can and can’t take by a man at a hotel door, simply because he has a drum major’s uniform on.
    Robert Benchley (1889–1945)

The sugar maple is remarkable for its clean ankle. The groves of these trees looked like vast forest sheds, their branches stopping short at a uniform height, four or five feet from the ground, like eaves, as if they had been trimmed by art, so that you could look under and through the whole grove with its leafy canopy, as under a tent whose curtain is raised.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
