Rugby Football League - Young People's Advisory Panel

Young People's Advisory Panel

The RFL launched the Young Peoples Advisory Panel in 2010, a group consisting of young people aged 16–25 from across England. The national panel meet at least three times a year at the RFL's Red Hall headquarters to discuss and debate the following:

  • Changes in the structure of youth rugby;
  • Communications between young rugby league enthusiasts and the RFL;
  • RFL policies which impact on young people.

Two nominated members will also sit on the Youth & Junior Forum, a key device used to advance youth rugby league.

Famous quotes containing the words young people, young, people and/or advisory:

    Six months at most after they get here, these young people—and they are mostly young who come—have lost every idea they had, except flirtation and temperature.
    Thomas Mann (1875–1955)

    Custom has made dancing sometimes necessary for a young man; therefore mind it while you learn it, that you may learn to do it well, and not be ridiculous, though in a ridiculous act.
    Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)

    When you’ve been blind as long as I have, you learn to see through your senses. I can’t explain it exactly, but you get a feeling about people when you meet them. You see a picture of them in your mind. Not just what they look like, but what they really are. You see them much more clearly than you do with your eyes. Maybe that’s why they say looks are deceptive.
    —George Bricker. Jean Yarbrough. Helen Page (Jane Adams)

    At the heart of the educational process lies the child. No advances in policy, no acquisition of new equipment have their desired effect unless they are in harmony with the child, unless they are fundamentally acceptable to him.
    —Central Advisory Council for Education. Children and Their Primary Schools (Plowden Report)
