    • 3rd, 6th Infantry Divisions, and
    • 3rd Cavalry Division, and
    • 2nd Development Division (Nakhon Ratchasima)
  • Third Army (Thailand) - headquartered in Phitsanulok, responsible for the northern and northwestern parts of the kingdom.
    • 4th, 7th infantry division, and
    • 1st cavalry division, and
    • 3rd development division.
  • Fourth Army - headquartered in Nakhon Si Thammarat, responsible for southern Thailand.
    • 5th, 15th infantry divisions, and
    • 4th development division.

Jane's Defence Weekly for 15 August 2012 said that two new combat formations had been approved by the previous Pheu Thai administration. The new 7th Infantry Division is based at Mae Rim, near Chiang Mai, and the new 3rd Cavalry Division is based at Khon Kaem.

The Royal Guards (Thailand) form several separate regiments within these formations.

Famous quotes containing the word organization:

I would wish that the women of our country could embrace ... [the responsibilities] of citizenship as peculiarly their own. If they could apply their higher sense of service and responsibility, their freshness of enthusiasm, their capacity for organization to this problem, it would become, as it should become, an issue of profound patriotism. The whole plane of political life would be lifted.
    Herbert Hoover (1874–1964)

Science, unguided by a higher abstract principle, freely hands over its secrets to a vastly developed and commercially inspired technology, and the latter, even less restrained by a supreme culture saving principle, with the means of science creates all the instruments of power demanded from it by the organization of Might.
    Johan Huizinga (1872–1945)

Democracy is the wholesome and pure air without which a socialist public organization cannot live a full-blooded life.
    Mikhail Gorbachev (b. 1931)
