The Royal Selangor Club Kiara Sport Annexe is a branch of the Royal Selangor Club built over a piece of land in Bukit Kiara 5.5 kilometres away from the original clubhouse, which was given as compensation after the original club's field was acquired by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall in 1987. The facilities was officially opened on 7 June, 1998 by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Jaafar. The annexe is laid out in a similar manner as the original club, with the main club building facing a large field and designed in a similar architectural style as the original club buildings. The annexe also includes a swimming pool at the rear of the building.

Famous quotes containing the words royal, club and/or sport:
“Dearest dealer,
I with my royal straight flush,
love you so for your wild card,
that untamable, eternal, gut-driven, ha-ha
and lucky love.”
—Anne Sexton (19281974)
“In another year Ill have enough money saved. Then Im gonna go back to my hometown in Oregon and Im gonna build a house for my mother and myself. And join the country club and take up golf. And Ill meet the proper man with the proper position. And Ill make a proper wife who can run a proper home and raise proper children. And Ill be happy, because when youre proper, youre safe.”
—Daniel Taradash (b. 1913)
“Sweet Auburn, loveliest village of the plain,
Where health and plenty cheered the labouring swain,
Where smiling spring its earliest visit paid,
And parting summers lingering blooms delayed,
Dear lovely bowers of innocence and ease,
Seats of my youth, when every sport could please,
How often have I loitered oer the green,
Where humble happiness endeared each scene.”
—Oliver Goldsmith (1730?1774)
